Day 52, Progress!

by ooshwa

After over a month of little-to-no activity, things have finally started moving again. I apologize for the silence, but I didn’t have much to update you with.

Demo is done

The building has been completely cleaned out… walls, flooring, plumbing and most of the electrical has all been removed. In the picture above you can see the bare concrete walls that have been skimmed with a fresh coat to finish them out

Walls going up

Most of the space will be left open, so we don’t have many walls to put up. Along the side of the open space we will have three offices and a conference room. Two of the offices will be open to the larger space (i.e., only 3-walls) and the conference room will have a glass wall on one side, so the space should continue to feel pretty open even after the walls are in.

Lots of light

In the picture above, you can see the “ribbon windows” along the south side of the building and where the front window will go (currently boarded up). Combined, with frosted-glass windows where the original building vents were on the north side (picture right), we should have an abundance of natural light in the building.
