Day 6, Some serious clean-up

by ooshwa

With the completion of the abatement process last Friday, we’ve been doing a little clean-up over that past few days. The pictures above show some of our progress.

Built to last

The building is just a little over 2200 square feet with another 300 in a back area that will be removed (it wasn’t much more than a closed-in porch). The exterior walls are 8-inch concrete all the way around with 16-inch columns every dozen or so feet. Steel joists and a wood roof, cap off a very solid and sturdy building.

A blank slate

Nearly everything in the building will be removed… walls, wiring, plumbing, HVAC… everything will go. Once demo is completed at the end of this week, we’ll be looking at a 62x34 empty box - a blank slate.
